The Story Behind The Albino Armadillo
We’re travelers, campers, Casita owners, and the humans Arnold is constantly complaining about.
Our home on the road is a 2017 Casita Liberty Deluxe, a little molded-fiberglass travel trailer we’ve used to explore campgrounds, national parks, mountain roads, small towns, and plenty of places we never expected to find ourselves.
Somewhere along the way, we removed all of the original graphics from our Casita, leaving behind a smooth, almost completely white little trailer. With its rounded fiberglass shell, somebody eventually pointed out the obvious:
It looked like a giant albino armadillo.
And The Albino Armadillo was born.
Then came Arnold.
What started as a funny name for our Casita became a character—and eventually the idea for this website.
TheAlbinoArmadillo.com is where we share our travels, the campgrounds we discover, restaurants and interesting stops along the way, Casita projects and modifications, lessons we’ve learned, and the occasional misadventure.
Some of it is useful. Some of it is ridiculous. Most of it actually happened.
Arnold’s version of events may vary.
Thanks for traveling along with us.
